Ah ok, enjoy what little you can! I have read too many conspicuous articles linking Nightshades to Arthritus and switched to yams, taking diet too far perhaps.
So what you are trying to say is "gather ye nightshades while ye may"?
I only eat aubergines, tomatoes and courgettes...never like potatoes...so I will stay as I am until the weight comes off then start with yams...I LIKE yams...I just haven't had them for years...
Actually the West Indian diet is heavy with yams, fried green bananas (a bigger, different strain to the eating ones), black eyed peas and such...which is VERY gluten free stuff, and, to my recollection, GORGEOUS filling food for when I get the weight off.
Amistel, you MUST get off the wheat...seriously, totally...not just six days a week and toast on Sundays

...
ZERO TOLERANCE, for life...
When you go "gluten free" your intestines HEAL (it takes months) and can be hypersensitive to everything for a while...but they become more sensitive to wheat for good - it 's an auto immune reaction, not an allergy. Even one slice of rye bread can put you right back where you started for days...
At the moment I am staying away from fiber as my stomach is still to unstable to risk too much "residue" (I am sure I don't need to draw any pictures?
