I'd say he has the session data for each of the users in a database table and the script used to generate the page simply takes a list out of the database and however the entries are entered in the table is how they appear.
I did that on a page I started once... which is very much dead. Hardly gets used anymore, and is long overdue to be completely overhauled.
You know, it's really frustrating to want to know the answer to something (so how are the members sorted) but not be able to understand the answer. I know the words are in English, but they make no sense to me at all. Can somebody please explain what this means, in non-technospeak? Please?
Haha, I'll try... I've been saying this in various ways and in various threads for a while now. Also frustrating to try to explain and nobody seems to notice.
When you login to WP it is stored in a 'table', which is part of a database on the WP server.
--> WP takes notes on when you visit.
After a certain amount of time you get dropped from this table. Until then, even if you log out and in again, you are still on the WP list. This time is one day.
--> After one day, you are taken off the WP list.
This is when you have the opportunity to be number one. I don't want to tell exactly how, but hopefully the above will help.
