Shame, I was curious to find out my score.

I very much dislike how you are forced or tricked into sharing all this random information on facebook that you don't want to, if it wasn't for trying to keep up with a few people I wouldn't have one at all.

You could try using a fake account to do the test... I did the test on my real account and nothing showed up on my profile when I clicked don't post. I don't want people on my fb account to know either.

Yeah, I'm very high functioning in NT society (for an AS) and I got a score of 72/72. This doesn't seem logical too me as getting a max score should (in theory) indicate I'm on the lower end of the "AS section" of the ASD spectrum.

Seems like the point of the test is "How likely is it that I am autistic?" and not "How severely autistic might I be?" So the more autistic traits you have, the higher you score, regardless of severity.

My NT friend who has social anxiety but at some point thought that he has AS scored 11/72 on this test.

I got 72 out of 72...........and yet still part of me says "No, you do not have Aspergers its all in your head" *shrugs* Not sure of the validity of this test. I don't think I should have scored so high but ok...

I realized quite a few of those fit me more than the wording of the DSM-IV criteria does. Like, the DSM-IV doesn't give specific examples. And, for a teenager, it's fairly hard to interpret.

I'm no "official Aspie," but I think quite a few Aspie quirks fit me really well. In fact, I think AS might be a special interest right now! I'm in a love/hate relationship with a special interest's level of intensity. It's great at times, but not when your whole brain is completely consumed with an interest. Any thought leads up to the interest.

Synesthesia was a special interest for a real long time, so, as strange as this sounds, a small surge went in my stomach when the synesthesia questions came up. Synesthesia is just so interesting, special interest or not. I think I might be a motion-->sound associator, after self-diagnosing during my synesthesia phase... Sometimes I wish I was an x-->color synesthete. My friend is.

OK, am I going on and on about synesthesia a bit too much? Oops.

I better end now before you'll feel tl;dr about anymore synesthesia posting.

Oh ok! so it's just a likelihood scale...I'm pretty high on all the AS scales which means I must be exceptionally good at camouflaging my autism.

I was sure I'd score "badly" but got 68. My wife got 12.

Ok, posted result before reading the full thread -so now I'm back to comment.

In the results I got a red line something about literal interpretation - which surprises me as I often feel foolish for being slow to catch on to jokes - and people constantly catch me out by pretending they don't understand or are angry with me. I didn't answer definitely on that one because I do quite quickly catch on - but never immediately.

I also got two yellow lines - difficulties with non-autistic social interactions - and one about focussing on parts of objects.

I had the same thought about those "boring others" questions as others here. In my case - and keep in mind I'm still trying to determine the real likelihood I have AS - I usually do become aware others are bored - or at least not interested - but feel that they're being unreasonable or can be "brought round" if I keep going - so I do just that - if they really don't want to know they can either say so or leave. They do become quite reluctant to speak to me tho so I guess I'm missing something there. The recognition of a negative reaction is something that's developed with age - when I was younger I was actually fairly oblivious. Not sure if that "kind" of situation with recognition steers me away from AS?

I've also always been quite good at adjustment - sort of like driving a car that has dangerous steering but actually maneouvering it like it's normal - if someone else took the wheel they'd be really surprised and say "holy cow! - this thing's really trying to throw us off the road!!". A RL example is that when I was 11 my mum told me the teachers had expressed concern that I looked "thru" people rather than AT them. I immediately started looking AT people when speaking to them and being spoken to. From time to time even tho I have no idea why, people will stop in mid conversation and ask me if everything's ok - I don't understand why or how. My wife says I seem to "drift away" or something (but I don't! ) - so I guess I have to take her word for it.

Overall, my general feeling is and always has been that I'M not the one behaving strangely - it's other people - tho the rational realisation that my outlook on things is very much at odds with the majority of people has made me realise for a long time that I'm at least eccentric some how. The discovery of AS has me in a strange mix of recognition and fear.

The last time I took the AQ I got 42.

I answer them honestly each time, I am not sure if I am either becoming more aware of some things, shifting my perception of some things, or just exaggerating. Either way it doesn't really matter to me, because I have it, so the quizzes are mostly recreation.

I have 43/50 on the AQ test and 154/200 on the Aspie Quiz. I took a long time answering each question because I was serious about answering the questions honestly. I then took the questions again a few weeks later and amazingly came up with exactly the same scores. So I was convinced re: my self DX.

I conclude that I have been very good at blanking out my autistic childhood and the fact my brother was quite autistic but my parents were consistent they told us we only had discipline issues (very naughty boys). I think the indoctrination worked as we both self censored ourselves (our true selves). All of this would have been left swept under the carpet if not for my daughter's diagnosis.

arg people should just stop putting stuff in apps.facebook.com. It increases the facebook lock-in and facebook is a very evil company disrespectful of privacy, allied with MS that should not get more users.
