Not always.....but my problem is that I feel compelled to be as accurate as possible and really have trouble editing the responses. At least here I can edit a bit and mull things over before a reply. To me, all that detail is needed for a proper and thorough response.

Occam's razor in reasoning.....Encyclopedia Brittanica in response.....how's that for a dichotomy?

I guess one could ponder it a while and come up with a kind of cliff's notes content compaction algorithm of the mind.

I think it's actually very common for Aspies to go into excessive detail. I do it often, but I've learned to control it somewhat. I also tend to go off on tangents. I'm sure I'm really confusing and annoying to many of the NTs I come into contact with.

it has been my experience at least, that all the small-eared folks I've seen tended to have sleek physiques, be compact in general, have very little body fat and be highly educated. I've not yet seen a professional person with big ears.

Will Smith...nothing sleek or compact about him........Not fat, but just big and not highly defined.

Ya, that is indeed true. I just wish more people thought that way.

I find too little info to be more frustrating than too much info that my lethargic self ends up having to wade through.

Yeah....not so sure about the highly educated thing. Here's why: I have only a HS degree but teach college. So, my hedging on that is that I find some people who do not get degrees can still be highly educated. Just no diploma to prove it. I think education is a lifelong pursuit and not just rifling through Cosmo or Playboy. Can't tell you how many arty types I wanted to punch in their holier than thou attitude concerning this.

IMHO you are highly educated at least compared to me. Socratic method or some other autodidact method still equals high education, just of a novel type self-administered.

I've really tried scaling back on that. When I was doing online dating, people would send me over a few sentences and I'd send back an essay. I tend to go into superfluous detail and then have that derail into other related things. I'm trying to cut back to what I need to say v. what I want to say. But sometimes you just can't.

Maybe one of the things that bother's people about androgyny is whether they should 'make advances' if there is no clear cut role to assign.
I'm lagging behind a little on the reply to this but yes, I think it can be confounding to people because they don't know if they should or could make a pass at you because they can't tell where you're sexual interests lie. When you dress or behave in a socially appropriate manner in accordance with your sex at birth (cisgender), then it makes their reciprocal actions easier to define.

But I find it limiting, what's one of the first things people ask about your child (boy or girl), as if that should change how they treat it, but it does...
