just take a look in the art folder to see what cd's I own on that thread - lol, it's a pretty good-sized list. I'm mostly a hardcore drum n' bass addict (ie dark d&b, techstep, hardstep, rollling dark, hip-hop jungle, jump-up, jazz-step) some darker progressive trance and psy trance, some hard acid techno, some older metal and industial, and as of lately a lot more dark & grimey gangsta rap from the mid to late 90's (Its all about Mobb Deep, Method Man, and Cypress Hill).

Most of the stuff I listen to is moderately heavy rock. But there's some stuff from other genres I like.

Great Big Sea-Play-General Taylor

<sigh> I adore GBS-they're the greatest band ever!!

Well General Taylor gained the day
Walk him along, John, Carry him along
Well General Taylor he gained the day
Carry him to his bury'n ground

[Chorus:]

Tell me way, hey, you stormy
Walk him along, John, carry him along
Tel me way, hey, you stormy
Carry him to his bury'n ground

We'll dig his grave with a silver spade
Walk him along, John, Carry him along
His shroud of the finest silk will be made
Carry him to his bury'n ground

[Chorus]

We'll lower him down on a golden chain
Walk him along, John, Carry him along
On every inch we'll carve his name
Carry him to his bury'n ground

[Chorus]

General Taylor he's all the go
Walk him along, John, Carry him along
He's gone where the stormy winds won't blow
Carry him to his bury'n ground

[Chorus]

General Taylor he's dead and he's gone
Walk him along, John, Carry him along
Well General Taylor he's long dead and gone
Carry him to his bury'n ground

[Chorus 2x]

(BTW, apparently this song is sarcastic. I never picked that up, my Dad told me...but I think it's better when you consider that it is sarcastic.

I'm currently listening to Incubus' "Here in My Room" from their album A Crow Left to the Murder.

Incubus wrote:
This party is old and uninviting
Participants all in black and white
You enter in full-blown technicolor
Nothing is the same after tomnight

If the world would fall apart
In a fiction-worthy wind
I wouldn't change a thing now that you're here

Your love is a bird
Here in my room
Here in my room
Here in my room

Your love is a bird
Here in my room
Here in my room
Here in my room

You enter and close the door behind you
Now show me the world as seen from the stars
If only the lights were dimmer
I'm weary of eyes upon the stars

If the world would fall apart in a fiction-worthy wind
I wouldn't change a thing now that you're here

Your love is a bird
Here in my room
Here in my room
Here in my room

Your love is a bird
Here in my room
Here in my room
Here in my room

I tried to be in your incision
Spinning is free

I came here expecting next to nothing
So thank you for being that kind of girl
Kind of girl
Kind of girl
Kind of girl

Here's another one: "Mexico" (Morning View). It reminds me of a girl I met who I thought showed psychopathic personality traits.

Incubus wrote:
You could see me reaching
So why couldn't you have met me halfway?

You could see me bleeding
And you would not put pressure on the wound

You only think about yourself
You only think about yourself
You better bend before I go on
On the first train to Mexico

You could see me breathing
But you still kept your hand over my mouth

You could feel me seething
But you just turned your nose up in the air

You only think about yourself
You only think about yourself
You better bend before I go on
On the first train to Mexico

You only think about yourself
You only think about yourself
You better bend before I go on
On the first train to Mexico
