Which school years were you most isolated from your peers??

For me, the isolation or sense of not fitting in began in the 7th grade where graduates of various elementary schools suddenly found themselves all in one building. The first day of school I got laughed at and ridiculed for not having white socks, and then many other "differences" or whatever just kept popping up over my three years there ...

... and then the same things began happening all over again when I got to High School where all the graduates from various middle schools were herded together and I got laughed at and ridiculed on my first day for even *having* white socks (instead of black this time) ...

... and at that point I just gave up and went defiant and began wearing the gaudiest and ugliest "clown socks" I could find.

Being teased for not having white socks is absolutely ridiculous!!

6th through 8th grade definately. I would stay in my room all day and night, reading or playing my keyboard. I may have had one friend.

I wish you'd just used years in the poll. Being from the UK these "grades" mean nothing to me.
