I thought the main reason to go there was the chance to hook up, at least for guys, and that having your ears and your lungs progressively damaged was part of the price to pay for it.

Literally all? That's not true.

Only just noticed this. I meant most.

The way the majority of (approximately) 16-24-year-olds get themselves sick and ill from drinking, whine about it, then go and do it all over again a week or so later.
I know a girl who got so drunk out of her mind that she fell over and bruised her forehead. She was lucky it didn't cause brain damage. But she still thinks getting drunk is great and she's been drunk since.

I despair.

it's mad. i reside in scotland and we've had a heatwave followed by snow. also tea rooms aren't really as popular as coffee shops these days. it's more of a posh activity (e.g. going for afternoon tea) which either rich or old people do.

Eye contact with someone you just met. It might be social convention but it's just sooo weird!

Anything that has anything to do with sex or romantic relationships.

Yes. I have met at least over 100 diagnosed people with AS IRL, and have spoken to 100s on here in all the time I’ve been here. The professionals I’ve met IRL also told me they experienced the same thing.

So, pfft. :P

That sounds difficult to believe.

So they said that only IRL and to you personally and never wrote it online?

Oh, I’m sorry, but I can’t be bothered to converse with someone who’s acting like hey, exactly what I described. Funny, huh? Not doing a good job of proving me wrong.

The way a group of NTs sometimes turn everything each other says into a joke about sex or drinking. And the way they find those jokes hilarious.

This, right here. Look at what you wrote. See nothing familiar in here?

I can't think of anything universal to NTs, but since gossip does seem to be a common activity amongst many of them (though neither my father, two of my friends or mam's boyfriend do it either), I'll choose gossip. Don't get me wrong, I'm a curious soul, but I'm not interested in who's bonking who or what diet some celebrity is going on.

I hate celebrity gossip, too. They're trashy people who aren't worth my time.

I don’t like when people all say they like the same music and celebrity people. But when a new person is ‘hot’ (whatever media says) they suddenly like that person even if that person is the total opposite of the previous ones.
It shows they are disingenuous to me

This happens at the library I work at. It gets stultifyingly boring when you see wave after wave of only James Patterson books, modern pop/rap/country music CDs, or movies that everyone else has seen being checked out. Celebrity culture is also shallow and vain. NTs can't get enough of it for some reason.
