Asperger is only a bad pun for Americans because they can't pronounce non-English names. And on that subject, Sukhereva would just be 'asking for' being called suck or sucky. Or maybe it'd be sook as in Sookie (the vampire) which takes us right back to suck...

But then I could get mistaken for someone who plays rugby or soccer. People might start talking about sport in my presence after all these years of training them not to!

No one would ever drink Red Bull again

If I wanted to describe Aspergers in terms of autism, I'd just say "mild autism".

If it were to be renamed, this would be my favorite suggestion. Lorna Wing seems uncontroversial and unlike Kanner, Asperger and Sukhereva, no negative puns on the name.

Yes .

Sula Wolff was somewhat involved with Asperger's and thought As and SPD should be fused. Maybe we should name it Wolff's syndrome, which would make us wolves!

I would like to have a set of neurotypes mapped out before renaming anything.

It isn't just autism or NT, there has to be a number of neurotypes even within autism itself. It should just be classified in terms of being a disabling neurotype, still recognized as a healthy state.

Turtle Syndrome? Given the amount of discrimination, the hard shell is a useful symbol of the need to practice self protection, and they are endangered by a hostile environment, while inside they are gentle little creatures with soft inner selves...

I think this is where I'm at as well. the next step from the spectrum is identifying the "colors" within it.

Are you responding to me If yes why respond to me like this I am 100% autistic if I see things like this so what ?

Hadn't though about it that way (sense when do we have a sense of humour ?) Now you mention I think you may be right .
