I got a score of 37 yet I haven't been diagnosed with asperger's officially. Are there any different tests that I could take to get a better idea of my true AQ? Most people seem to critisise this test's accuracy....

In the test out of 50, my score was 38.
In the test out of 200, my score was 149 for "aspie" traits and 67 for NT traits.
In the Empathy quotient I scored 14 (which is less than the average even for a person with asperger's)
In the SQ test I scored 21 (which is within normal range apparently).
I have never been diagnosed with AS. Are these non-diagnostic tests or do psychiatrists use them to diagnose patients?
I had problems with depression in highschool because I felt that I didn't belong and I couldn't tell if people really liked me or not. However they never found anything out of the ordinary. They just said that the things that I complained about were typical teenage things and that I needed to "complain less and make some friends" (actual words of the mental health worker). Could this be relevant to asperger's? Or just indicative that I was negative and whiny?
Are there any more tests that I could take? I like tests

I have both Asperger's and Autism in my family. I have heard that science has not discovered a definate cause, however people believe that it could be hereditary. I have also heard that it is linked to brain damage (which I have as a result of oxygen/nutrient deprivation in the womb). Could it be linked?Does anyone here have a good understanding of the possible causes?

Did you do the test out of 50, or the test out of 200? The test that is out of 50 is apparently less accurate. I haven't been officially diagnosed with asperger's, yet I got an AQ score of 38. But My son's father luke who has been diagnosed by a psychiatrist only got 25.
Go to www.rdos.net and do the "aspie" test. The test results are a lot more in depth.
