...MUCH CETIDN , likewise for anything else said here:
Basically , I am thinking that , though homeless , I'd go over the bay to Berkely , a different county/state . to try and escape the payee people here , who , LITERALLY (CETIDN):
(1) Refuse to make medical appointments for me !
(2) Have spent , just on two things , HUNDREDS of my dollars on (a) hrowing away posessions of mine they said they'd take care of (b) spending , over a period of months , a three-figure sum on non-existent " cleaning supplies " .
However , I need as much money as I can get , to go to Berk. , and some information about things there (such as the location of the General Delivery Post Office) !

Do you have a cell phone with internet (so you can still contact people and post on Wrong Planet)? If you don't, you should save up for the Kindle 3. It has FREE 3G wireless.

Do you have a passport? Go to a foreign embassy in another state and see if you could try and get on somewhere as a temporary foreign worker. After that, when you get to that country, open a bank account, then start saving, and if you have an education, you could look at getting permanent residency. Your best bet may be to try and immigrate elsewhere.

Here is the Canadian site if you want to go to Canada. Canada has a temporary foreign worker program. They also have one for unskilled workers who do labour type work.

If you can't get any money to do that, just skip across the border to mexico and other central american countries. You could do under the table labour there and rent a small house or room and get by down there.

ASS-P.....are you still in San Francisco? It sounds like you've had a rough time out there. Have you ever considered living in Key West, Florida? I was homeless there for a month or so and it's pretty easy to get by. The police down there are pretty tolerant towards the homeless and locals are pretty easy-going too. Plus...it's much warmer than San Francisco and you can sleep right on some of the beaches. There is also ample opportunities to fish just about everywhere and if you can swim and snorkel, you can also catch lobsters, crabs, shellfish and other sea critters for food. Fresh fruit is pretty east to come by too as there's alot of mango, papaya, coconut, banana, etc.....trees around if you know where to look. Overall...Key West is a pretty homeless-friendly town and I can't think of a better place in the U.S. that would be better if you're homeless.

It's fairly safe and there's not a ton of crime there, but that's not say there's none either. It might be easy for you to find work there, if you're physically capable of working and with that foot of yours....I don't know about that. I know a few people down there and might even be able to find you work, but I can't promise anything in that department.

Something to think about....pm me if you're interested. I'm pretty sure a one-way bus/plane ticket to Miami wouldn't be THAT much and from there, you could take a bus to Key West for around $25-30 I think.

...Actually , to start replying to these ( I am at a pay internet cafe :( ) , I do remember someone talking about Key West once :) - However , the " get-there " cash REALLYT is a factor , for one...
As far as " tropical paradise homeless " , there was a newspaper article a few months back about homeless in Hawaii rather along the same line , this article focused on someone named Tony Williams , a homeless person in HA .
I don't have time to go searching for newspaper articles from months ago now , maybe someone else  ?

I was homeless for about two days when I was a kid and yes, it's easy when you're young & healthy, when you're hanging with people you like and when you know you have a choice. It's almost like a little vacation.

...The couple of years older you are than me , I guess , means that you might have been " suitably " young while the " post-hippie " , so to speak , era was still hanging around , so to speak - You could " crash " , sort of " hang out " , I guess 8O -
My couple years' difference (younger) in age , and , the fact that even when I was younger and " cuter " , with my " difficulty/inability to interact socially " , as the first page definition here goes , kind of kept me form doing that - Too , various circumstances when I was young just added up to me " never quite getting connected " :( with " youth subculture " , as it were...
You know , I sort of recall that the modern-day concept/term of being " homeless "/" a homeless person " only really developed around the late 70s or so , I think , perhaps even more the early 80s .
