You might be an aspie if..

used to be a huge fan of anime, knew what seiyuu (brownie points if you know what a seiyuu is!) voiced what character, what songs were from what show (including words) and who sang them.. and after not being a fan of it for the last 5 years.. am finally starting to forget that knowledge.

you remember stuff from World of Warcraft, even though you haven't played for almost a year, better than your friends who still play.

(in response to the person on the first page who said "know the specs of your computer" ;p) if you think it's weirder for people to not know the specs of their computer. What is less weird is not knowing the specs of the last 10 years worth of computers, like I do.

has always been the "smart guy" in class even if I didn't have the grades to show for it.

you refer yourself as a "sponge/king for useless information."

Some of these might have been said already or maybe not quite on the mark.. I'll admit it; I didn't read all 105 pages before I posted. :)
I'm also new here.. I only recently even heard about AS but the moment someone told me "you might have autism or aspergers" (that wasn't a good night) something clicked in me and made me want to look at what AS was specifically. I've never read something that so succinctly summed up my idiosyncrasies.

Of course, part of that is because the vast majority of players, in my experience, pay absolutely no attention to the backstory. As an example, most players (from either faction) behave as if the Horde were supposed to be evil. THEY'RE NOT EVIL. The Horde just believe that the Alliance is too weak, fractious, and forgetful to stand against the inevitable return of the Burning Legion. The orcs, after all, know what the Legion is like - they haven't been free that long; some still live who remember what it was to be in thrall to the demons.

The orcs were rejected by the Alliance because they once "associated" with the Legion (that this was against their will seemed not to matter, at least to Admiral Proudmoore - his daughter Jaina had other ideas). The tauren have been fighting with the centaurs over grazing lands for generations, and since the Cenarion Circle has such an in with the night elves, the tauren had little choice but to go with the Horde. The civilized trolls have broken away from the unpleasant habits of their cousins in the southern islands, but face the same unreasoning prejudice as the orcs. The blood elves, recently returned to Azeroth, are trying to control their hunger for magic, but face the same attitude from the night elves as the orcs get from the humans.

Only the Forsaken can be thought of as "evil", and in their own eyes, they're actually trying to be benefactors. They believe that being undead is so wonderful, they want to extend its benefits to everyone else in the world - whether everyone else in the world wants those benefits or not.

Sadly, most of the Horde players are kids who are still young and inexperienced enough to think that evil is kewl, and an excuse for doing whatever they want whenever they want, so the attitudes will probably remain unchanged unless Blizzard deliberately skews in-game interactions...

Myself and Linus Torvalds were members of the same computer club back in the 80's.

Here's the member list 1983. I am member # 90 and Linus is member # 13.

You have given up on the education system and become a one person classroom.

I did that for the first half of Eddie Murphy's "the Nutty Professor"...and could no longer fake it after that.

I even did it for several TV shows I gave a chance to....I'm a smart man now

Definitely agreeing with that one. I can't say how many times I've spent hours wondering why no one would speak after I had spoken.
