How many do you think Whacko Jacko'd sell now?

Good question since things have changed so much in the music industry since The King's death and the release of Thriller and people bootleg music so much these days.

Albums don't sell in the quantities they once did and it's been said in the media a star these days cannot obtain the amount of fame Jackson did during the height of his career.

There's no doubt there will be thousands of documentaries on cable television in the next months that everyone just about will have every facet of Jackson's life memorized and will be able to provide in depth eulogies during dinner.

It's a bittersweet moment for the few remaining Jackson faithful, whomever they may be.

In respect to the Jacko dying thing.. there seem to be a great deal of NTs making comments about the young boys of the world now being safe.. so I wouldn't say it's an abnormal thing.
Also, humor and denial are both pretty normal coping mechanisms when someone dies.

I can have inappropriate reactions to death.
I am not really interested in the death of people I do not know.

My first thought on hearing the news was that it was a blessing (for him that is) I don't believe he was well or happy. I can't think of John Lennon's death without also thinking of a little boy in town who was found dead of exposure the same day. He had been abducted and raped repeatedly. He was 6. The two will forever be linked in my mind.

I'd be interested in seeing the autopsy report. I wonder how much surgery he really had...

You know what? Call Mattell, see if they can recycle any bits of Jackson.

EDIT: Jokes aside, I noticed that on Bigpond, they are using a photo of 'Jackson 5' era Michael. Probably the best way to remind people that his life was a tragic waste of talent that degenerated into a farce.

I am really quite sad today though. I grew up with Michael Jacksons music. Though he allegedly did some bad things I dont think that was everything he was. He had a pretty difficult, abnormal childhood, and it is not surprising he did not turn out ok.

I have always been a huge fan. I know others who were not a fan may not be sad though. I think people should feel what they feel, you cant feel sad about something you dont feel sad about.

Jackson isn't dead-it's just like Tupac :P

Honestly I don't really care about Jackson dying.

No, but I get annoyed on how people treat these celebrities like gods and how they go on about their deaths for months while the deaths of average nobodies mean nothing and nobody gives a damn.

i'm happy that Jacco is dead, but would be much more happy if he was convicted for child abuse as i was raped and abused for 2 years during my teens.
I still like some of his music though

Depends. I didn't laugh at all when Vonnegut died because I like his books.

I laughed at the Michael Jackson thing because I would just love to see everyone's reaction to it. And we won't be able to talk about his plastic surgery anymore.

No, I do not. That would require me to care.

I didn't laugh, but I felt absolutely nothing. I'm happy Farrah Fawcett died on the same day. Not because she's dead but because I think it was destiny to have someone so loved die on the same day as Micheal. I personally believe he was a pedophile and I don't think he deserves any of the attention that he's getting... Can you imagine what he would probably think if he knew his thunder was being stolen by Farrah?

No I don't laugh. I simply don't care. I feel nothing.
