I like really light colours of yellow, blue, green, grey. When I like the feel of certain materials I can see those colours. I call them 'safe colours'.

I have ordinary likes and dislikes with color.
Natural "cool" colors (blue, green, brown) are pleasing and calming to me.
Very bright or "warm" colors (orange, red, yellow) are a bit unpleasant.
But I don't have some overwhelming reaction to color.

I believe this is because I am NOT a visual person. I've always had poor eyesight, and never relied much on visual input. Besides that, I do have an overwhelming disposition towards sound and hearing. I'd much rather be blind than deaf.

I don't dislike any particular colors, but I am attracted to pastels and vivid, bright colors. Powder blue is my favorite. I also like clothes that have subtle patterns/motifs.

I do find it highly impractical to wear dark colors. I make my initial choices based on how practical it is, then I choose the color I like the most. I've had color obsessions in my life that differed greatly from all this, but I eventually grew out of them.

I tend to like the cool colors at the end of the spectrum the most (teal blue, blue, and purple). Also, I like bright colors. My least favorite colors tend to be earth colors (olive green and yellow orange), pastels, and the color pink. However, I do like pink when either mixed with black, or with maroon, grey, and white.
Bergundy, magenta, and maroon are also up there with my favorites.

I really like cirtrus colours like orange, yellow, lime gree etc. And I really like neons too and also black. Basically anything bold.
Pastels and neutrals are a bit bleh.

Sometimes when I see red against a blue background it almost looks like the red is moving about...its a weird sensation and tend to distract me.

PURPLE!! !

Anything purple draws my eye to it...

Driving down the road chatting to my partner i haveta stop mid sentence and say "purple car" when one goes by - i completely fail to notice the colour of any other cars though...

Shopping i buy the brand with the purple label - or something purple that leaps off a shelf at me even though i already have one in another colour...

My house is filled with purple things - 90% of my clothes are purple (the rest are black or white) and all my artwork has at least some purple in it...

Even my garden is filled with purple plants and flowers - and dont visit me with a purple lighter in your pocket - it wont go home with you

Hehe - even my puter is purple :D

Other colours get rated by how well they go with purple - black and sunshine yellow go good - so does grass green - red and blue are a bit off - and orange is horrid... (unless the orange is in a flame like someone earlier said in which case it looks yummy enough to eat) and dark brown is ok (its just a bit of yellow added to purple)

I'm easy to shop for - just buy me something purple and i'm happy :D

I love bright colors. I have a "phobia" of the color orange.

I'm indomitably attached to ultra rich, bold, deep and vibrant shades of blue and red. In other words, Ultramarine, Majorelle, Cobalt, Sapphire and Royal Blue; as-well as crimson, blood, ruby and cherry red. These are all beautiful colors and no other ones to me can overcome my insurmountable affinitiveness to them, my third favorite is purple and my fourth is black.

I heard that the color preferences/aversions of autistics are not only influenced by perceptual stimuli, but also by underlying "neurodivergencies" like synesthesia, so that it could evoke specific reactions to an intensified degree towards a color, texture, sound, and taste that pertains to such a meaning. Yellow, for instance to me, is reminiscent of mustard, pus, nausea, insipidness, cowardice and urine so there's nothing congenial about if for me, and it's repugnant as a form of room paint.

I'm not drawn to pastel colors of any sort; and I have a staunch aversion (in terms of being ugly, uncomfortable and sensitive) to any shade of Yellow as I mentioned previously (mustard, greeny, urine-coloured and bright as-well as dark ones etc), as-well as yellow-greens like Chartreuse :eew:, certain shades of Green (Neon, Lime, Olive, Sea-foam, Limerick, Puke, Garbage, Booger and baby poop), Orange, Pink (especially hot pink) and any Rainbow combinations whether it's paint or accessories, it makes me cringe.

It's worth knowing that I'm sensitive to bright shades of orange, red (orangey ones particularly), yellow-greens and hot pink, especially when encountering it as stimuli on TV (but any extremely bright color is a no-no.)

I like different colors for different purposes. My favorite colors are pastels and jewel tones, especially pale pink and fuschia, rose red, coral, turquoise, aqua, periwinkle, cornflower, and violet.

I am, as others said, turned off by many shades of brown, yellow, and orange. However I usually like the brown color of wood furniture, especially if it's a dark brown or deep reddish brown. I also dislike many shades of olive green. I especially dislike most any color or pattern that is reminiscent of 70's decor.
