You bet! I have a very low threshold and I faint from pain a lot. I would just like to have normal sensitivity to pain.

I'm not sure. I used to be very sensitive to any pain, but then I really got hurt a few times, and the more pain I experience, the "perspective" helps me deal with it. I've learned some interesting things.

1. Little injuries hurt more because they often do something to the layer of skin that detects pain. Paper cuts are the worst. In contrast, larger injuries often hurt less because the trauma invokes natural pain killers and your mind kind of blocks out some of it. You might hurt worse in recovery/healing than when you were initially hurt.

2. Real bad stuff happens so fast you really don't feel pain (or anything).

3. The more pain you endure, the more you learn to endure it. Sometimes I think worrying about feeling pain only heightens the sensation through anticipation.

Actually, that's true. I've had the misfortune to have been attacked several times in my life, and it never hurts at the time. There were some in my family who believed in corporal punishment, so although beatings weren't common, they weren't unheard of, and could be quite severe. That plus going to a school where corporal punishment was allowed, I got my fair share of whacks growing up. Maybe that's why I don't really feel pain as much as I should.

am wish was at least middle in pain threshold,am feel no pain at all on outer body, but very deep things such as migraine,TN and stomach pain have pain ability.
Have gotten ill and worse from neither self or anyone else recognising injuries, but one good thing with head injuries at least is am have other symptoms as well which gets recognised.
it does have its good points, its something to find funny when have cracked a body part or skull on something hard and anyone else with self acts like it happened to them,it's like beating them up by proxy.

My mom always says I "exaggerate" when she bumps into me suddenly. Or even when she gets mad and slaps me or grabs me or whatever, the pressure is still there after she takes her hands off me. I can still feel the pressure of her touch and its just scarring for me.

I think my pain threshold is normal. However I have very low tolerance for either heat or cold. I also have high sensitivity to internal bodily sensations other than pain.

Oh yeah, I get that too and then my mum calls me a weakling.
The worse for me is my period pain. I've got to keep the codeine close when that happens.

I'm sorry, that sounds awful.

I can tolerate general pain such as muscle aches or headaches, but I'm very sensitive to pain if it's in small localized spots. I can't prick myself with a pin for example. It hurts too much for me.

Same here. I'd rather get rid of my emotional pain.

Though the one Physical pain that I desperately want to get rid of is my constant itching. I have very sensitive skin and I get itchy everywhere no matter what kind of sensitive lotions I use to relieve myself.

Oh my... I didn't mention period pain. That's not like regular pain. That's like, once a month I want to kill myself... or everyone else!! !

I have no tolerance for anything when it comes to PMT.

I'm the other way round, I can stick a pin in my fingers and not give a s**t but if I have an ache in my arm it's horrendous.

Oh god period pain is the worst, now matter how high/low your pain threshold these pains make you want to go insane. You men are so lucky lol.

Up until a few months ago, I had an extremely high pain threshold, and even enjoyed some types of pain. Then I was suddenly unwell, and since then little things have been agonising to me. I was stung by stinging nettles yesterday and it's still hurting today. It feels extremely painful. I used to rub stinging nettles on my legs and felt a mild enjoyable tingle.
