I'm 5'7".
128 lbs.
I have a ruddy complexion.
I have to add space to hats that I borrow so they'll fit.
Ring longer than index.

I too would likely be described as lanky ...with a jelly belly :)

My son...
somewhere around average height for his age/weight.
Pale complexion, but tans well
Dark circles
Larger head (however, not abnormally large)
Ring longer than index.
17 hour labour & delivery with complications...
low blood sugar, poor oxygenation, broken collarbone

Oh yeah, and I also went through a very difficult delivery. I had a larger-than-normal head, and was also a "stargazer." I gave mom a third degree laceration.

I was also physically abused as an infant. (I had glass bottle slammed upon my forehead, and it left a giant blue/black/purple bruise. There is still a scar and an indentation on my forehead to this date.)

My ring finger is longer than my forefinger by about 1/2cm.

Crown: 8 to 10 inches

Infant (6 to 12 months)
Circumference: 16 to 19 inches
Crown: 11 to 12 inches

Child (12 months to 3 years)
Circumference: 18 to 20 inches
Crown: 11 to 12 inches

Child (3 years and older)
Circumference: 20 to 22 inches
Crown: 13 to 14 inches

Adult Woman

3. The eyes stand further away from each other than average

Nope.... my interpupillary measurement is only 60 mm.

"The average interpupillary distance for men is about 65 mm and for women about 62 mm (in Caucasians)." - http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictio ... r+distance

4. Heart problems

Nope.

5. Intestinal problems/digestive problems/ constipation

Yes, but I won't go into details.....

5. Above average distance between the toes.

Yeah baby!!

Extra sign: Many people with an ASD have had a hard delivery, which is caused by a lack of physical ''communication'' and collaboration with the mother.

Breach birth that took a really long time (something like 20 hours).

:lmao:

Were you serious about the other characteristics? I'm just curious, because I never in my wildest dreams thought my widely spaced toes had anything to do with AS :?

Uhhh. . .on which hand? I have one of each. On my right hand my ring finger is shorter, on the left it's longer. Is that abnormal?

High cheek-bones, smallish/"squinty" eyes, blue eyes, average-to-tallish, slightly overweight. Pale.

1. Nope.
2. I don't know. Maybe.
3. I have... no clue. Don't think so though.
4. I think I had a heart murmur when I was younger. Don't know if I still have it.
5. Not that I know of.
6. No. Actually, I would say they are closer together than average.

Fascinating!

1. Nope. My index finger is slightly longer than ring finger.

2. Yes. As a child, I had a larger than normal head, though now I think it's about average.

3. I have always had dark circles around my eyes, and some people in high school thought I looked "stoned," though I have never smoked pot. I don't know what "average" eye spacing is, so I'm not sure about that. I don't think my eye spacing is particularly wide.

4. I'm not sure if I have heart problems. I actually have abnormally low blood pressure. My great aunt just died of a heart attack, though, so maybe.

5. I've had intestinal problems all my life, as has my father (who I suspect is the "source" of my Asperger's).

6. Yes! I have an unusually large gap between my big toe and my second toe, and the rest of my toes have spaces between them, as well. I also have an unusually wide and bulbous big toe, though I'm not sure if that is relevant.

7. I was nearly a month late being delivered. My mother was due to be induced, but since she didn't want to be induced with Pitocin (which can make the contractions unusually painful), she drank pennyroyal tea, a natural abortifacient, to induce labor naturally. I was delivered quickly, but my longer than normal gestation period resulted in my head being slightly conically shaped due to its resting in my mother's pelvis for several extra weeks. The left side of my head still has a slightly conical protrusion to this day.

8. In terms of my body type, I've always been of the short, round variety, though I am very stretchy, flexible, and loosely ligamented (I've sprained my ankles eight times, four times on each ankle).

1. Yep, it's a little longer
2. I'm not sure. I've never had my head measured, but I do have trouble finding sunglasses and hats that don't squeeze me.
3. I would say so.
4 & 5. I don't think I've ever had heart or intestinal/digestive problems... at all. And except for slightly elevated blood pressure (which can be explained from smoking and drinking), I don't think either run in my father's side of the family, which is were I likely got my ASD from.
6. Yes, I do believe that is true, but I don't make it a point to measure the dimensions of others' feet.
7. I was about a month late being born, and then they had to suck me out.

I am not skinny, but that could be related to a problem in my endocrine system. My physical appearance is considerably different than what it would be were the issue not present.

I see a lot of similar noses too. I basically have no bridge to my nose but I don't know if you'd call it a ski-jump nose as they are supposed to be perky. I have dark circles under deep set green hazel eyes and olive skin like my fathers. I think you can have the circles either from allergies or from hyperpigmentation. My ring finger is longer. I guess my head is average. I have IBS. My big and second toe are wide spaced (I call them my monkey toes-I can pick things up with them) and my second toe is longer than my big toe which messes up your metatarsal arch and throws you out of alignment and causes back pain. It's called Morton's Toe. I was 3 weeks early and my mother had pneumonia while I was in utero. My eye spacing is normal I think but I did have amblyopia which they now know is not muscular but neurological it just affects your eye muscles because the brain stops trying when it's not getting the right signals from the eye. There's an AS connection I believe I read somewhere. Heart problems? I keep breaking it. Body type basic pear.

Wow. My ring fingers are fractionally longer than my forefingers.
My head is so big that I have to send off for a special cycle helmet.
Don't know about my eyes, nobody ever said.
Heart's fine... very very low blood pressure and resting heart rate.
Ulcerative colitis, so bad that sometimes I've been unable to walk.
I can splay my toes sideways, and pick things up with them... but I thought the broadness of the feet and the width of the toes was because I'm bare foot as much as possible.

Oh, forgot to say... I had a very difficult delivery (or rather my mother did.)

My son is also endowed with a gigantic head, broad toes, had a difficult delivery, long ring fingers...
