No, I have had that same thought, that I don't like food. I like the tastes and textures of certain foods, but I don't like the fact that I need food and don't like the act of eating.

I am very picky with food. When I go to grocery stores I am amazed at so many of the things that are considered food and that I don't even think of as edible.

3. Do you have any suggestions to help me expand my diet?
When I get food I usually get the same foods every time. If I go to a restaurant I will get the same food that I've always gotten there, and when I go to grocery stores I get the same foods almost every time.
Years ago there was one type of food I liked a lot. I liked it so much that I ate it almost every meal. It was all I wanted to eat. And even years later when I'm hungry I still want that one type of food. But its producer stopped making it.
After that I didn't know what to eat because I didn't like many types of food. I didn't like that, so I decided that each time I got groceries I would try to get one food item that I hadn't tried. Often it's hard for me to find something I haven't tried that I think I might like, but I realized that if I carefully walk through every food aisle of a grocery store I can usually find something. And by grocery store I do not mean Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is a horrible store to go in(for the lights, the crowds, the lines, and other reasons) and has very little variety.
Other stores carry more variety. I go to stores like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.
A lot of the time I don't like the new type of food, and sometimes it is gross, but sometimes I find something I really like, and I start eating that new thing mostly.
