I too have a similar problem that was posted a few times before.

My mom and my older sister refuse
to understand because about 1/3
of the time, one or the other or both
is always telling me to relax.

Whenever I tell them about Wrong Planet,
they think WP isn't a real website.

This is a just a small piece of
what it's like residing with my older sister and my mom.

Well, y'know one thing I admit I notice about NTs( when I actually bother paying attention to those silly creatures, of course) is that they don't seem as passionate about anything as we Aspies are; it's like they follow stuff to a certain point...like the "flavor of the month"; once that fad is done, they move on.

For instance, I'm a huge Doctor Who fan; now, most of the people who recently got into it..got into it cause of the current series; I started by watching the classic series. One of my friends from back home is also into Doctor Who, but since he started with the current series, he can't even sit thru the classic series.

and I know many others, if I were to ask them 'who's your favorite doctor?", their answer would likely be "that guy with the scarf".

Ya...tons of effort put into that.

My next question to those folks would be "ok, what's your favorite storyarc?"

GUARANTEED the answer would be "UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Yeah, I thought so.

It's also sort of like Ghostbusters, which is another big thing for me; Even Harold Ramis referred to Ghostbusters as a "serious comedy"....if the majority of people can name the enemy in the movie( big hint: it's NOT Stay Puft), I'm impressed; usually, they can't, cause all they pay attention to is the comedy.

Also, a few years ago, I went to Florida to see my mom's side of the family after she'd passed on. My dad and I were about to head to Disney World for a few days, and my cousin mentioned "I like the Haunted House", to which I responded "you mean the Haunted Mansion", to which he literally responded "oh yeah?"

Like I said...it just seems that the majority of NTs approach most topics as a quick fad or "flavor of the month", and don't really put the effort and energy into it that we do...and then call us obsessive cause we actually show devotion and loyalty to it.

To quote Janine Melnitz from Ghostbusters II, in response to hearing Dr. Venkman was arrested: "typical".
