No, I don't believe that I've ever experienced that. Interesting observation, however. Alas, I live in a place where it rarely rains and when it does the pollution is so thick that the rain is not always a pleasant experience (to smell).

However, smell and sound are of my most heightened senses which has created a great deal of anxiety in my life. Car smell of anti-freeze leak or oil burning or someone smoking a cigarette driving by is too often too strong.

I'm beginning to deal with the annoying bass of cars driving by.

Greetings, I have a question to ponder... Does anyone detect " metalic air " or the smell of rain long before it rains? i live in the country, but I definitely can smell metal or a static-smell when I'm outdoors..Just curious. Thanks for your feedbacks..Peace......

I've always been known for a heightened sense of smell, but also for a consistently blocked nose due to allergies. I sometimes think I smell heat, rather when objects get hot. I'm not sure if it is really a better sense of smell or that I pay closer attention to my senses. This of course could be because of a need for my sense to be stimulated often. Who knows really, biology isn't my thing.
