I figure I have "The Stare" because people are always doing one of the following:
A) Asking me if I'm okay because I'm staring off into the distance;
B) Looking behind them to see what I'm staring at;
or C) Telling me to "SMILE!" because I don't have any facial expression.

YES. Same with me on A, B, and C.

Actually, I quite like making eye-contact with cats. I like it when you blink at them and they blink back!

I love this too! If I blink "contentedly", my cat will blink contentedly. If I widen my eyes into a stare, I can see by his expression that he's waiting for something big to happen.

Not a big deal unless you're dating my ex!! ! I remember one time (out of a zillion!) ..we were sitting in a coffee shop, while I was talking my eyes began to follow what was going on outside the window.... cars, people, birds etc... then he said "Who the hell are you looking at?" his head twisting around, convinced I must be checking some guy out (he was extremely jealous). I explained to him that I like to look around at things and that I didn't see anything wrong with it. I bet to this day, if I had a coffee with him, he'd still assume that my inattention somehow was a reflection upon him. ...and people say "I'm" self absorbed!
