I love long, hot showers. When I was a kid, I'd stay in as long as possible (and pretend I was a mermaid or something). I love the feeling of the hot water hitting my back, and for some reason, I'm more imaginative and come up with interesting ideas while showering. I don't use washcloths or those poofy things, I just apply soap and shampoo directly. I made myself start using conditioner, but I don't like that it makes my hair feel kind of slippery after I wash it out, as if it's stuck to my hair. I have to shower every morning, or my hair gets oily and kind of kinky, and then I pull it out more often. (I also have trichotillomania.)

I love having long hot showers in the winter and in the evenings, and in the summer on a hot day, a luke warm or mildly cool shower feels really good.I have to be careful on how long I am in there because, since it is included in my rent, my rent would go up if I kept going off into my own world and daydream in the shower.

My son has major shower/bath issues. I'm not sure why. He has had times when he's in tears because he says the water is hurting his body :( He absolutely hates water on his head and cries all the way through the washing of his hair at times.

None of us can take showers-not liking water on our faces, heads, etc... very hard to avoid all of that with a shower going.

Luckily, our shower unit doesn't work, only the bath does :P

I tend to take baths as well, but super super HOT baths. When I come out my skin is always all tingly for a while and my body feels weak, lol... I don't know why I do it, but I guess it just makes me feel... like I'm getting myself cleaner or something.

Have a close male relative that doesn't wash his hair often, wears clothes that may be dirty or torn and often takes quick sponge baths in the sink rather then a bath or shower. Infact he has had trouble with nail infections which I believe come from not properly taking care of them and he does let them grow long. Is this Aspie or at least spectrum as no one in our family has been able to get him to explain and we don't undestand it.

water on my face just drives me absolutely crazy, especially on my forehead and around my eyes. wetting down my cheeks when I'm about to shave isn't so bad, but I can't stand the feeling when it starts to drip down my face and down my throat.

I have no problems with showers.
Sometimes (but not always) I tend to stay in the shower for a long time because I fall in thoughts, or sing a song (and have fun noticing how the note F is the one that makes most resonance in the room, in opposition to the others... lol, I may have perfect pitch or something, but not sure).

I don't like showers; always take baths. I know that logically, a shower is cleaner because you're not sitting in your own dirty water, but I just don't feel clean unless I have been properly submerged.
