Thank you for the replies and

Dooneybourkegrl - Thank you for the story about Rainbow Bridge. I have heard of that before and it always makes me cry when I read it.

My sister suggested I watch the Movie Marley & Me....

I cried my eyes out toward the end... It made me feel sad again though, but that is part of this grieving process...

thanks you all -- this is going to never end.. but I feel like the initial excruciating pain will start to lessen.. I feel very alone without my cat here though.. he was all I had here...
It's so quiet.. especially at night... I really really miss his sweet soul to keep me company.

thanks again.

Sorry about your loss, I know the feeling. Most of my cats during the years have been hit by cars, since I live by a road with somewhat heavy traffic. So I got a dog instead, more easy to control.
You must not bury yourself in the mourning. A good advice when one loose a pet, is to get a new one as soon as possible

(((Felinity)))

Having loved and lost many cats over the years, I know how you feel. It is always hard to lose a pet. Many of my pets have achieved very old ages, but it still hurt when they passed on.

The Rainbow Bridge poem is beautiful. We have a special Rainbow Bridge page on the Siamese cat site to memorialize pets who have passed.

Strange.. When a person gets cancer, they don't get put to sleep to "ease their suffering" Yet an animal gets cancer and is seen as an imperfection and must be eradicated immediately.

Animals and people are different. I don't treat people like animals, and expect not to be treated like one.
Or was it the other way around?
