I don't think that people on the autistic spectrum should come together in one place. NTs and people with ASDs compliment each other's abilities. It creates a balance. There should be more awareness and acceptance instead. So, I'm against the idea.

If such a nation was formed, I'd go there regularly but I wouldn't want to live there all the time.

Without NTs you wouldn't know you had a weakness (NTs like to remind people who are different over and over again that they are in fact "different" with the implication being "not as good as me, the NT"). The only problem with Aspergeria is, it would be so outnumbered by NT nations it couldn't possibly compete with them. It would be easy to exploit because of the small market. There's more NTs than there are Aspies.

The land would probably perish on on people who think other people are not Aspie enough...

No-he's our beginning though. Or the person who eventually started our history.

They can do the same thing with the majority of society and claim you have to be social-oriented..until the rise of technology destroyed their bias towards neurotypical socializing.



not if we place in Tarriffs and don't suck the dick of organizations like the WTO and ally with the 'third world' countries who would not be as developed originally...so they don't flood our markets. Then again Aspergia would end up a high-tech society eventually so there might not be that problem.



Note how the cherokees are treated in their economic standings. And they at least have their own nation officially-unlike black americans



People still consider people 'ghetto as hell' if they speak in AAVE/Ebonics (well the majority of america *cough* white america and elitist blacks *cough*). Awareness/acceptance works but the majority LOVES lording it over those who are different and say you're wanting to be 'molly-coddled' or some garbage if you refuse to brown-nose 'em. Or self-hating uncle tome aspies would say that

Again don't compete with them originally and adopt an isolationist foreign policy. Also see things like services which can't be taxed (e.g. source code). I'd doubt the other nations would get their ISPs to go 'lol block aspergia IPs'. They don't even do that with Iran and North Korea...

Seeing Aspergia discussed made me think of a short story by a favourite writer of mine. The Marching Morons by C.M. Kornbluth.

To me that story feels a bit like how perhaps an Asperger world would be like. Though extremely exaggerated I guess .. lolol (it is beyond elitistic).

Native Americans do not have much, a little dirt, they do not issue stamps or passports, but they are Nations? I know of five acres for $500, no one would want to go there.

The Choctaw of Mississippi are the tenth largest employer in the state, and fastest growing. Mostly they employ non Choctaw off the Rez, and one can rent office space on the Rez, which is technically another nation.

There are other outsider groups that would make natural allies. Not belonging to the American social club is a plus with some folks.

We are a consistant Neurological Nation, another point of view is a confused world. We are excluded from the mainstream, but we do have the tech and the creative.

There are many much larger groups that have no voice, but we do seem to spend a lot of time on computers. That is our nation, and it is a small group that makes use of the technology.

That puts our main activity outside their world, and we are growing into it faster than anyone. It is also linking us, something very recent. Since I have been on WP, the whole concept of ASDs has changed.

The number of females who showed up showed that the offical view was wrong, and it is fast changing. Terms like Developmental Disability are rarely used anymore, and the Markram's view of an Intense World Syndrome are taking over. We are moving out of Psychology and into Neurology.

We still need goals, and a Mission Statement.

Which got me thinking...it would be really difficult to get the United States government to officially "recognize" "Aspergia" "the Aspie Nation". They recognize Native American Nations because they were here before massive immigration, although they were immigrants themselves long ago, there weren't any humans here to protest their settlement. It opens up a new can of worms, trying to figure out who owns what...exactly or if anyone really owns anything. The government can seize land whenever it wants for any excuse so it seems like this whole "land ownership" thing is a deceptive scam anyway...does anyone really own anything or does everything belong to the federal government? You would think everything does considering the recent bail outs. The people, the property, and the businesses.
The government frowns upon nations within nations because of the melting pot structure of America. Getting recognition would be an uphill battle, if not entirely impossible!

I'd apply for a national security post. I promise not to torture anybody, but I might have to keep an eye on Warsie and Fernando!

I am majoring in International Relations, so I could always apply for foreign relations, yes I am the one will have to liaison with NTs, but I do it all the time and get a level of understanding, though not perfect.

Also, hmmm... The one issue I have is I hope it dosen't become a South African style homeland.

Well I would apply for a passport from the new nation and I might visit once in a while.

I would most likley end up there even if I don't belive the nation would last long. Since my creativety is mostly into hurting others I think I'd be into military development. (It's scary how many ways of hurting people you can come up with. )

It would be fun to explore this idea further.
