I just discovered that one of the questions (to prefer friends of the same gender) has incorrect weight factors. This seems to be because it was run only about 1/4:d of the time in F11, and also because of a very high amount of male participants from one forum. Because of these factors, this question has positive loading on Aspie-score when it should have negative. This problem will be fixed as the real final version 2 is launched. This question only gives about 1/2 a point, so it won't affect results much.

Mine isn't really all that rounded, like most. What does that mean? It looks pretty much the same as last time.

Not much. It is the averages that counts. It just means that you don't have similar scores in areas that most people have similar scores in.

I just hope I will not see the typical "ADHD"-arrow anymore now that Aspie activity has been broadened.

My score is pretty funny, considering I did my best to answer it fairly (like for example, I only have shut downs/meltdowns "a little", which I interpreted as "sometimes", compared to the "often" answer. I can also read "a little" in regards to facial expressions, as I can see many of the basic ones, for example. And it goes on and on with the "aspie" questions).

I'm completely socially isolated other than the 'net [due to autism].

Your Aspie score: 177 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 21 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

About the facial expressions. I can theoretically read them, maybe while observing others talk, but when having a conversation with someone I am almost always oblivious to them because I tend to be busy thinking about my own conduct such as eye contact, facial expressions and tone of voice.

So would you mean during a conversation, or in general?

Yes. Something is not right. It's very funny and the graph of your test score looks as if it is a complete reversal of what it actually should be. Maybe you could take the quiz over and see if the same thing happens.

You probably don't have shutdowns/meltdowns often because you don't go into very stimulating social environments a lot. However, the question specifies that it's only in highly stimulating surroundings, so if you don't get them a lot in general, doesn't mean you wouldn't get them often if you were to lead a more neurotypical lifestyle. Am I right?

What was it that Attwood said? Something about if you want your child's AS to be gone just send them to their room, and shut the door, I think it was? It seems to be only a problem when we try to mix with others. When left to my own devices, completely alone I don't have as many problems.

If I remember it correctly, Danielismyname always ends up as neurotypical on Aspie-quiz. I wonder how he scores on the AQ test?

BTW, I updated the weight factors so "preference for friends of the same gender" now give correct weights.

That's interesting. Why do you suppose that is?

When I initially took this test if I had any question about an answer that I would choose the lesser of the two possible answers.

I did this because I wanted to see the lowest score I would possibly get if I made sure not to overstate anything.

That time(March 2, 2008) my score was 164. This seemed very high.

I have taken different versions of this test four times since, and these times I tried to answer each question accurately.

Each time I take it I try to answer as honestly as possible, sometimes spending several minutes thinking about the correct answer to a question.

On the other hand, I do wonder if my scores are so high because I remember most of the questions.

Although through the time that I have known about this quiz, there have been three situations where after doing something I thought about this quiz and realized that I answered a question incorrectly. The thing which I didn't expect is that rather than having answered incorrectly by affirming some behavior I didn't have I had answered incorrectly by denying some behavior I did have.

Today I decided that rather than try to provide an answer to each question I would take the quiz quickly and if I didn't know the answer to a question immediately then I would leave it marked as I don't know. My reasoning was that I didn't want to mistakenly convince myself of the answer to any question.

But my score is apparently generally consistent. That is surprising because not having been diagnosed I would not expect my score to be so high in comparison to other scores posted here.

Here is the picture showing my results from today:

Your Aspie score: 111 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 78 of 200
You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits

Interesting. I've taken this quiz many times, and this is the first time I've gotten an "both NT and AS traits" score. That's not surprising, though. I've been working on my anxiety, and seem to be out of my depression; so a lot of my AS qualities have lessened. A few months ago, I was getting aspie scores in the 140's (and felt more AS). I've been more comfortable in my skin lately, and not wanting to hide.

I can't even begin to interpret what all that means. This is a really good quiz, though.
