I've never participated in one (like a real one where I'm waiting infront of a store at 5am) but it is something I may consider trying someday just to see if I can handle it. Cold weather and living with overprotective parents is what's keeping me from trying this yet.

Also...the Walmart worker that get killed last year trying to save a pregnant woman from getting trampled. :? Damn.

No because I don't need more stuff so why go?

But I could go just to watch people steal from other carts and run into each other and shove. But I hate getting up early just to see it. My parents don't like Black Friday either so they have always avoided it.

I rarely buy gifts at stores. I do that sort of shopping online, black Friday included.

Too much chaos.

Flying pigs will ice skate in hell before that happens.

Or I'll go if threatened by aliens.

Anyone remember the poor wal mart (I think it was wal-mart) guy that got trampled to death by frenzied shoppers last year? They kept on shipping if I remember correctly.

That sounds like a nightmare I don't even wish to imagine.

Hell no! I've worked in retail on that day in the past, and from what I saw, it's not worth the stress. A couple of years ago, the police had to break up a fight over a parking space in front of the local Circuit City. If I do any shopping at all, it's online.

Having never heard of it before now, I can't say for sure that it's tacky, but as a gut reaction I imagine that it is. :eew: No doubt the UK thought police are working on an imported version......everything else that's nasty about the USA seems to get copied over here eventually.

It beats me why anybody ever takes up these calls to conformity. If everybody were like me, the people who start these things would all be redundant, and then they'd have to find something useful to do with their time.

No...We don't have Black Friday in Canada....us Canadians have this tendancy to not trample each other...If the line up is long, we bee line it to the nearest Tim Hortons for a double double with timbits and stand in line with our coffee and donuts.

I am a regular customer on eBay and Amazon. Both of these are American innovations (not to mention Wrong Planet) so the US isn't all bad. I have a lifelong dream to go to New York to see the Ghostbusters firestation, but I wouldn't want to live in the States.

Oops, should have done that in the first place... Weird, I've never even heard of such a thing... sounds a bit stupid to be honest.
