Listen to either two of my favorite songs. Always cheers me up and makes me feel good.

In no particular order:

Listen to music.
Go for a long drive or walk.
Read e-mails and letters from my friend.
Play with my hair.
Play with my Rubik's Cube.

1.) Listen to a song on repeat.
2.) Interlace my fingers and pull them apart....over and over.
3.) Run in a circle if I am certain that no one is watching.
4.) Spin whether people are watching or not.
5.) Pace when no one is around.
6.) Pretend that I am an airplane(run around, arms outstretched)...sometimes I forget to check for people.
7.) Bite my nails.
8.) Pet the pet of a friend (I don't have any...too many allergies).
9.) Rock when no one is around.
10.) Get under the mattress when no one is home.

Depends on how stressed I am, and what caused it.

It can range from getting as much away from people and sensory stimuli as possible, alone with my own thoughts, or stimming on the more extreme side, to reading about my special interests, observing nature, doing mindless work, for normal stress levels.

Of course, the cats demand petting regardless, but it's calming and relaxing to pet them and listen to them purr, and watch for the funny faces they make.

Listening to music always helps me and singing along. I have sung almost constantly since I was a child. I cant seem to stop myself, even if I am out in public.

Also, I used to, oddly , find my hair being brushed very relaxing. It is odd I don't find that distressing.

I calm myself down by listening to music, normally Extreme Metal or Trance. Trance music pulls me in and lets me sink deep into my mind in delirium, while screaming/growling with Extreme Metal songs helps when I'm not in such a good mood. If I'm feeling very angry, playing the Grand Theft Auto games calms me down quickly, especially if I curse when I kill in those games.
