Having intelligent conversations with adults about my special interests. They are few and far in-between, so I always end up being thirsty for more. I really enjoy having people's undivided attention, not being asked any questions, just talking something I know a lot about and seeing other people's take on it. I immensely enjoy the thought process involved in integrating new information into my present database of knowledge. It's very fulfilling, emotionally and intellectually.

I spend a lot of the time on the internet. I also find my sewing (arguably a special interest, I don't know) very relaxing, and generally always have one or two sewing projects on the go. I listen to a lot of audiobooks, and am on and off in doing origami (something which has fascinated me all my life).

I'm not sure if I'd say my jitsu is fun. I see it more as necessary.

I read, go online, look up and read stuff online, write my stories, read fanfic, play my ds, watch my dvds, go lizard hunting for my kitty. And of course, set goals, routines, and schedules for myself. Like, go on a Jean Plaidy marathon, and read from Castile for Isabel to The Extravagant Queen.

Creating art, watching documentaries or arthouse films, organizing things or info (helps me de-stress), drinking takeout coffee and riding around with my husband, playing Scrabble or Bejeweled Twist.

I like to play and listen to music, and I especially like playing the drums. I also enjoy making a fuss of my cats and dog. Sometimes I just like to look at my action figures.

I went through a period in my life where I felt like I wasn't enjoying anything I was doing anymore either. I wasn't enjoying comics that much anymore, or the forum I was posting on, and I had long ago lost any genuine interest in drawing and wildlife. Only since this year has this been slowly turning around again. Part of this turn-around is owed to someone I talked to on-line early this year, lots of chit-chat and we compared our tastes in music too. After talking to her, I found myself more inspired to get out of the house a bit and have fun in general.

These days, something I derive quite a lot of pleasure from is listening to Indonesian pop music, which may sound a bit silly, but perhaps not so much as some others have mentioned listening to music as a source of fun (quite naturally). Also, I'm beginning to SLOWLY develop an enjoyment of my old interests, though I haven't started drawing yet.

So, yes, I can honestly say, after a long period of apathy, I am genuinely having fun, listening bands like Ecoutez!, Maliq N' D'Essentials, and Parkdrive. And some J-Pop, too, again, thanks to my online friend I mentioned earlier.
