At the moment, stockpiling is paying dividends. I've got about a month's worth of cat food and cat litter. Basically paid a supermarket £2.50 to deliver over a car load's of dry goods(heavy, and not so vulnerable to mistakes by others as fresh goods). This was when I heard there would be snow, and thought I wouldn't be able to shop for a week. The snow looks set to continue for at least another week, and I still have over a fortnight's worth of stuff, so don't have to lug and unload it in the cold and snow and ice.
