For what it's worth, my wife refers to this site as "Weird World".

How about Neuro-Atypical? :P

I agree! I suggested "Neuro Atypical" in a previous thread.

Before discovering the explanation that ASD offers, I've always considered myself as "lacking the common sense gene".

By the way... when I hear about Seattle, I assume it's a haven for aspies. My favourite fictional aspie is from Seattle... Niles Crane. :P

Ah, I've heard all about Silicon Valley... What is it, something like 40% of the population in some parts? Still a minority, but not by much... :)

Silicon Valley is near San Francisco, California (I believe.) Washington state is the home for Microsoft, so I can see why one might think Silicon Valley is there. Is Redmond, Washington near Seattle? I don't know. :)

Redmond is a suburb of Seattle, about 15 miles east of downtown... Seattle a haven? I'm not sure about that. I LOVE the city itself, it's very peaceful and green (as big cities go), but it's an incredibly difficult place to make your way. The people there are all super cutthroat and stuck up, which bodes badly for those with AS in terms of both finding work and navigating basic day-to-day interactions

If you can somehow manage to avoid all the people though it's great

Sadly I don't have anything as far as euphemisms go, but I definitely would also give my vote to "erratic life volume syndrome" :)

Chronic Brain-Farts. That's what I call it whenever I apologize for some kind of social gaffe. Then everyone chuckles and we all get on with our lives.
