Thank you Dutchland (netherlands) government :) Also I'm living at home with my parents (tried to leave 4-5 times but didn't work out yet) and they pay for everything, so i'm pretty spoiled (except that living at home and having AS sucks in my opinion).

Just out of curiosity, what kind of housing could you rent on 900 euros a month where you live?

I collect $900 a month, but social services takes $300 out of that money, for rent. I actually get $600 to get me through the month. I can also make up to $500 extra, a month. I work up to 10 hour a week, so that helps.

I receive $329 from SSI and $351 from SSDI. I also get $669 just for food and $636 for the kids. I also have Medicare and state insurance and live in a very nice subsidized housing complex where we pay a portion of the rent.

Only the SSI and the SSDI are for me, the other money amounts are based off my entire family of 7. If it were just me I wouldn't get those at all.

I really wish I had my diagnosis when I was in college though. It would have helped me out a great deal then.

I'm on AISH (Assured Income for the Severely Handcapped) and am waiting to hear from CPP-D (Canadian Pension Plan - Disability.) Works out to 1188 a month and an extra 300 or so if I get CPP-D.

Still aiming for a job though. I have had jobs before - it's just that I can't seem to hold one longer than 3 months. Since the diagnosis, I've found it harder to get jobs though but I'm going to employment agencies so maybe they will help me out a bit.

Im not on disability but Im going to be applying. Ive been unemployed most of my life and finding work has been very hard. I would really like to have a job to support myself because I really do not like having to rely on other people for support.

I work but I don't pay taxes. Tried applying for full time jobs in the past and they don't get back to me. Couldn't give a s**t what wage slaves think of me.

No. I have never been on benefits. But, there really isn't an appropriate 'no' response because I don't know if I'd be eligible. I never tried It's not that I haven't had the need, I just never thought of it. I was homeless for awhile due to really poor socialization skills at job interviews. Benefits would have been better then sleeping in my car in the backyard of a monastery. I wish I had thought of it. There's always next time.
