There are no other diagnosed cases of autism in my family. I am diagnosed with classic autism. However, I suspect that my nephew has autistic traits.

Wow I am feeling better, thanks everyone. I am not alone anymore because I can share it with you guys being alone. If I have an aspie child, I won't be alone anymore. I hope to have an aspie child for that reason.

I'm the only one too. My late father may have had it but I didn't meet him after the age of 3.

The only one diagnosed, but I suspect one of my brothers to have some traits.

I'm the only one.

No one in my mom's nor dad's family has ever had an ASD. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Glad to hear everyone and I could help.

I am not alone by far.
My grandfather, son, father, and possibly an uncle, have AS. I also have two cousins with LFA.

I may soon be beyond childbearing age anyway, but if I do ever decide to reproduce, I would have a slight fear of imparting genes which may produce a debilitating form of autism. I would nevertheless prefer to have an aspie kid than a neurotypical one. I know how aspie heads work. I'd be concerned about getting a regular kid to behave in a responsible manner. They're just so handicapped by their tendency to conform for the sake of conforming, that I am concerned that I would not be able to help such children to think for themselves.

Well, it's only me for sure. I suspect my brother but he seems to do better with people than me. That said he doesnt seem to have any/many friends.

My mother has extreme difficulty following conversations despite being 'educated' and above average intelligence. She has more people around her than me (like most people) but I don't think her social persona is particularly natural. Tough call!

I'm the only full Aspie, but various traits run through members of the family. I feel special :D

I am the only autistic in my direct family, but my cousin has been diagnosed with ASD.
Therefore, I am not the only autistic in my entire family.

My Dad had traits. Almost no friends, never really went anywhere alone.

He always had a project and some definite special interests and was smart, but no higher education.

Ate the same thing for breakfast every working day.

BUT............I think he was too well liked and loved by those who knew him (outside of our family) to be an Aspie!

I miss him

As far as I know, I'm the only one who has Asperger's or has been diagnosed with it.
