Almost all of my dreams are about architecture, oddly enough. I dream about being in different interior spaces, sometimes huge ones that are hard to figure out and that give you no clues as to where you are in relation to the outside, like airports and shopping malls, or warehouses converted into artist lofts. Other times I'm in a large house living with a lot of people, or in an apartment that is so small it feels confining. I'm always aware of the architectural style of the building.

Complex buildings with many different connecting areas corridors and sections feature regularly in my dreams. My brain decides they are schools or hospitals usually.

This is very true of me as well . . . however, I just always assumed it did have something to do with my personal obsession with architecture and building structure.

A lot of the time, I'm living in a giant structure that's not only a home for many persons, but also my place of work, or a school that I attend, or some other dual-purpose building.

I had undiagnosed sleep apnea. After wearing a CPAP every night to sleep, I started remembering dreams again after a 25-year hiatus. If your partner tells you that you snore and seem to stop breathing, get a sleep test right away. Sleep apnea is related to hypertension and cardiac problems - it does a lot of damage while you are unconscious and thus not aware. Another symptom (of course) is being really sleepy and exhausted all the time. If you wake up every day for an extended period of time feeling more tired than when you went to bed, see a sleep Dr. This made a world of difference for me.
