People think you are depressed because the only time when they would sit still with a blank expression in their faces and think, is when they are depressed. They assume you feel and behave the same way they do.
Aspies, on the other hand, when they see someone in that stance they know he is thinking.
People haven't been brainwashed against thinking, it's just that people like us haven't existed before, this is something new and it might be a better way to live, we don't know yet. Maybe autism is the future. A step forward in evolution. Logic taking control over emotions. The consciousness finally ruling over the subconscious. You'd be surprised how little the NTs use their consciousness, they are on autopilot, driven by emotions all day.
But until there is a clear path to keep the autistic's sexual and social needs satisfied, i'd rather be NT.
