I have once been diagnosed with borderline because I told a psychiatrist I read an article about it in a ladiesmagazine and I recognized some of it.... So I am a bit more sceptical about psychiatrists now. Some are good at what they are doing, others mediocre or worse, some lazy, most arrogant, so never fully trust them is my approach.

He's probably thinking autistic = autistic disorder. It happens, especially with older psychiatrists.

I'll add, Hans Asperger stated that every symptom of Schizophrenia, barring delusions and hallucinations, were a part of AS; it's in the first chapter of "Autistic Psychopathy".

Well, it does make sense. The difference is the age of onset. I think my point is that some people may think they are AS but actually be schizophrenic. In any case, they wouldn't be NT either. I guess that we belong to a different class altogether. But why would it matter if one was as or nt? I guess it goes back to the human tendency to want to belong somewhere.
