I read the post and my immediate reaction was 'optical illusion'. Therefore what you think is real is not, and what is real you can not see.

New York Cheesecake is perfect just the way it is - so don't be messing with it. No Strawberries, cherries, chocolate nuts, caramel -- it is all ready perfect - leave it alone already.

If you're being serious and not just angling for creative inspiration:

The meaning of life is to experience and learn. That is all.

Because what are we but experiences and thoughts?

Good post. And yes, I read every word, and it all made perfect sense.

My take?

Life means whatever I make it mean. Don't need or care what anyone else thinks. I don't force my interpretation on anyone, and don't allow anyone to force theirs on me. I'll take a bullet in the head before I'll ever betray who I am.

As Zorba the Greek said, "Life is trouble, only death is not. To be alive is to undo your belt and look for trouble!"

Or, as I often say, "Life - Love it, or leave it."

Not that it matters, but I agree.

Life is meaningless. Humans are simply organisms whose behavior is manipulated by genetically-programmed needs and desires designed to maximize genetic survival. We are born, we grow, then grow old and die, and like every other organism we have no control over this process. In the meantime we struggle to satisfy the programmed needs and desires. When we succeed, we feel that we are "happy," when we don't, "unhappy." We are basically tools of our DNA.

But, I'm going to try to enjoy life anyway.

Life is actually silly. People take it way too seriously. Walking around like they are so special and unique. We all have unique features, if we choose to.

The similarity though of any given human being to any other or to other forms of life is something that people just ignore...
