Did you ever have any teachers who you suspected had AS?

I've had a couple of science teachers who had some aspie traits. They were eccentric and unconvential in their teaching style.

Oddly enough I got along with them very well while the NTish students had trouble with them.

I had who thought I was gifted but had a lot of social/behavioral problems. She really helped me out a lot and pushed for to go to a private school, this was 15 years ago. If it were today she probably would have suspected AS.

There were a few others who thought I had a lot of potential and really pushed for me to do well.

LOL I misread the title too.

I had one in HS that was a little spectrumy and was open about his ADHD diagnosis.

The guy who works in reprographics in my school seems very Aspie, and I'm not the only one who thinks so.

No. I had one who was a bit weird - a VERY small bit - but it already makes me suspect what * I * am probably thought about by others if he, being in fact such a normal guy (only a BIT aloof and having a weird tone of voice) was received by me as slightly odd. I had also a female teacher who may have ADHD.

No, I've had a few awkward dorks as teachers but they didn't come across as aspieish.

TeachAS topic

A grade 8 science teacher named Mr. Botnik. He taught music as well. Perhaps just geeky, as he was very social. He was one of the few teachers who seemed to tolerate me.

On the other hand, my youngest daughter (now 15) had a science teacher in grade nine who admitted he had AS, to his students. Very brave chap. :o

No one knew about Aspergers when I was at school, so I didn't know about it and couldn't then suspect myself or anyone else of having it. But in retrospect, I had a maths teacher whom I now suspect was on the spectrum. Most of the other kids didn't like her, but I liked her. She was unsmiling and unbending in her rules, and she was the only maths teacher I ever had who explained maths in a way that made perfect sense to me.
