It's ok. Sorry for misunderstanding... And not getting any of your jokes. :P

Maybe you could try using smileys when you're joking? They really help.

Mmm, maybe they do. Probably, but I still don't know, I've never looked into it.

You're right - a smiley would have made it clear I was joking. :)

Uhm I'm pretty much the opposite. If I drop a mug/break something I'm calm to the point where it's ridiculous. What goes on in my head :

*mug drops* -- eyes to brain: "caution a mug has been dropped!"
brain: "hmm, I dropped a mug, how convenient"
Observer "OMG you dropped a freaking mug!??!"
Me: "Oh, thanks for reminding me..." ,
Observer: "Aren't you going to clean that up?!" --
Me: " Nah, it'll evaporate eventually",
Observer: *sigh* *cleans up*
Me: "Win!"

Why does the brain think dropping the mug is convenient?

Also, why does the observer clean up the mess if you were the one who dropped it??

It was just a fictional setting, to illustrate how different my reaction is from my peers. The observer person is also fictional, I didn't have anyone in mind, and don't worry I would clean up after myself. 8)

Ok. It's not really illustrative if it's made up though is it? (sorry, aspie pedanticness coming into play there :? )

I have problems when things veer away from the actual facts and it hasn't been made clear that they are. I'm fine with making up scenarios but I will prefix that with 'What if...'

When I saw this thread, I thought you meant if there's conflict, you do things to fan the flames. Obviously you don't mean that...

and no, I don't do things to enhance (aggravate?) the situation.

I slam doors and lids. I don't do this on purpose. When someone is around to hear it, they ask something like, "Why are you slamming things?" and I'm not even aware I am doing it.
