I have that problem too sometimes, but with smiling rather than laughter. I might be in a public place where I do NOT want to laugh or smile, but then I start thinking about something which amuses me, and then I am standing there looking like an idiot smiling/smirking at apparently nothing, trying hard as I can to wipe the smile off my face.
