elderwanda, I know from your previous posts that we share a lot in common, particularly in the area of ADHD symptoms, so I was interested to hear that you don't remember having difficulties in childhood. You may ask an elder relative, they may remember differently. As for myself,my difficulties have also always been there, I just fake it a little better. Some of the things that I feel I have "overcome" are still processed intellectually rather than automatically.

btw It's nice to see you back. I've missed your input. :)

I have AS (diagnosed), it was really obvious, even from the time I was a baby, and as soon as I could move around and talk it was really clear there was something different about me.

But I also had trouble with hormonal birth control. I had huge physical and emotional reactions: dizziness, fainting, hot and cold, cognitive impairment, yeast infection, huge mood swings, weight gain, all of which went away a few weeks after I stopped using it. I tried a few different kinds over the course of 10 years and it was the same thing every time.

So you may not have AS but please know people with or without AS can have a bad time on hormonal birth control. I will never use it again.
