I'm far too mature for a teddy bear.. that's why I sleep with a stuffed penguin :D

I slept with a teddy bear for years, and I still have said bear in my bed along with some other stuffed toys, but I don't hold them usually anymore.

No I don't sleep with one. I used to sleep with my guitars, but that's because I'd leave them on the bed in the day when I had no where else to put them. I'd just knock out from being so tired and would be too lazy to move them.

Sleep with your bear if you want to. It's no one business how you sleep as long as you aren't hurting anyone.

Yes

I had a small teddy I was given by my Nan when I was born and took that to bed with me until I was in my 30's, when the stuffing started coming out of his head so he's retired now and sleeps in a drawer and I have a replacement teddy.

Unless I have a hot water bottle and teddy I just don't feel 'complete' at night and find it harder to settle.

It's a comfort ritual

Partners just have to accept it; it's not doing anyone any harm

I'm gonna show my daughter this thread she is nearly nine and sleeps with about 15 teddies, she loves them and got a teddy bear book out of the school library recently and got hassled by some other unkind kids that teddies are for babies - which is obviously quite wrong as I explained!

Quite so.

I'm 44 and will be sleeping with my teddy as long as I live

I have a Westie who sleeps next to me under the douvet. He lovely and warm and soft and fluffy. The only problem is he growls at me if I turn over during the night and disturb him.

I'm a guy so I'd be more inclined to sleep with a toolbox under a pillow or something. :D

My ex girlfriend was 37 and she loved to sleep with stuffed animals. It apparently isn't just for little kids.

Yes, I still do. I also include three other stuffed animals. I tried putting them away on my 18th birthday, but I "received them" (again) along with the gifts for my high school graduation. They've been back ever since.
