I remember listening to a program on NPR that mentioned Autism related websites. I eventually did a good search and Wrong Planet was always at the top of the results.

I found this site while doing research on Asperger's Syndrome, before I was diagnosed.

I was diagnosed with AS in 2004 and didn't know what it was so I Googled it. Wrong Planet was one of the first results.

i posted on the australian asperger site (assn) while it was active and a cocky mod decided to rewrite the code and the site died.
in 2006, a woman called jane suggested i look at this site and i did and i thought it was a vicious contest of elitist minds and did not join.

i also posted on an a forum called "aspergerinfo" as "xb-70" , and that forum also disintegrated and in the end there was about 2 posts per day to the site.

so i joined this site because it was at least active, but i did not hold out any hope that i would not be ripped apart by intellectual elitists.

thankfully i was not spurned and i am still here and i see the softer side of this site now i have been here for 2 years.

I heard it mentioned on some tv show that was talking about autism spectrum. It is also the first time I heard about Aspergers and the symptoms fit me like a glove. That show led me here and a diagnosis on Aug 6th 2010. At least I know I am not crazy.

I had been listening to a talk show on a major radio station where I live that had a program where the host's topic was Asperger's Syndrome. WrongPlanet was mentioned on that show. Before that, I would see Asperger's listed in the Trending Now section of Yahoo! I never paid it any attention until I heard the radio show.

A friend of mine at college recommended the site. I remembered that one day during the summer and made an account. Now I'm here every day. D:

all's I know is I found the site after doing some searching shortly after my girlfriend and I hooked up; that was almost 3 years ago. And upon reading the stuff here...it was the first time I ever really understood about who I am.

And it felt great :)
