With your attitude, it sounds like you don't deserve anyone. And unlike Asperger's, there is a cure for your actual condition, which the DSM-IV recognizes as "Being An @$$hole."

One of the most important people in my life has Cerebral Palsy, and not only is she not mentally ret*d, she can beat you in a battle of wits with so much overkill it would be like using the Death Star to kill mosquitos. But all that is beside the point. I have known people with mental retardation who are unique caring individuals. Yes, you are a monster, but don't attack the mentally ret*d by comparing them to yourself.

And don't come here for sympathy after expressing such contempt for people born differently. Just take your towel and leave the gene-pool.

I don't know, I kinda liked getting laid 50 or so times by my last girlfriend and several times before that. I also do enjoy very much my 1999 Lincoln Town Car, I would LOVE to inherit the place I live in and I sure as hell would like some kids to raise like Bing Crosby and I know that if I wasn't ret*d I could have not slacked off in high school (because my father told me I had this disease awhile before he died which gave me depression thus taking me down with him). With the knowledge I'm ret*d there's not much I can do. The only positive thing I have to think of is the fact I'm not gay.

What sympathy I may have had for you quickly evaporated after reading how you continuously reffer to a neurological condition as a disease and how you drag the rest of us down with you by calling anyone with AS ret*d.

Good luck with your endeavours and may the pixies of logic and reason finally find their way to you.

You've been pretty much poisoned by the way people in our culture think about disability.

Let me see...
You believe that a "drooling feeble minded Down Syndrome child" is a horrible thing to be.
You think that most people with AS are "ret*ds".
You believe you are "inferior" and "simple scum".
You want to be someone you're not.
You believe that being "normal" is intrinsically superior.
You think that having cerebral palsy makes you inferior.

Okay then. Mister, you need to seriously dump some of those stereotypes. You are living in the last century, and it's long past time you got to know what it actually means to have mental retardation or cerebral palsy or autism. You need to stop looking down on disabled people. You're like a black person who's trying to bleach his skin because he's bought into all the stuff the KKK says about him.

The only reason I'm not telling you off for your obvious bigotry here is that it seems to have done you a great deal of harm, and you're obviously hurting a great deal. But I am going to tell you: The stuff you believe about disability is dead wrong. You need to get a realistic perspective about it, ASAP, or you're going to hate yourself even worse than you already do.

Doesn't the fact I listen repetitively to music and am sometimes awkward socially put me in the same league as all of you?

Just because I can flirt, talk to lots of people, hang out with large groups of friends, and start conversations doesn't count me out as being part of this disease.

Oh, horrors! You listen to music repetitively! This is obviously an awful symptom and must be stopped before it kills you!!

Dude. Catastrophizing much?

So what evidence do you have exactly that makes you think you have Asperger's?

To the bold: No, no it doesn't. There's more to autism, Asperger's specifically in our cases, than that.

Still not a disease, look up the word in a dictionary.

I mean far more than any regular person would listen to it (this includes some rather eccentric music tastes such as christmas music in June). I also have intense interests that shift occasionally (Although my love for the past in general hasn't).

Maybe I should just take MDMA continuously so I stay normal and then I can accept myself like I did before I figured out I had this disease.

If you're self-diagnosing yourself based on these two, then you've got something else coming. There are many, many mental conditions that mimic these symptoms. It looks like you're looking for some condition to blame all your personal problems on.

Yes, it is as I feared. Does anyone have a good method for getting troll-poo out of the carpet?

I also DID used to be very eccentric but I have fixed that. I can start conversations easily (used to not be able to). Obnoxiously yell at people who are in traffic, and decide not to if they look too tough for me to take down.

So indeed maybe I have it. I am one of you. I have the disease. I will never be acceptable.

I'm also 18 and I've learned this awhile ago.

Why would you want to have AS, when you've done nothing but insult those of us who happen to have it?

Does the possibility scare you that you may not actually have Asperger's? That your issues are not actually genetic?

Why not actually get yourself diagnosed by a mental health professional, instead of trying to diagnose yourself? You obviously know nothing about AS, so why not go to someone who actually does know about it?
