Dislike Holidays
I never was crazy about Christmas. My parents say my worst times were usualy around Christmas time. I liked getting presents. I presevated on it. I would want certian things so much I would make myself sick over it. The change in routine and surroundings also played a part. When I get my own place I don't think I will even bother putting up a Christmas tree. What does does a pine tree have to do with the birth of Jesus anyway? I've heard that Jesus might have actualy been born in Febuary or March. My dad, whom I suspect is aspie as well hates Christmas and has the nickname of "Scrooge" around that time of year. My had has always had trouble around Christmas as well. I could personally do without Christmas. My parents used to force me to go to my aunt or brothers' house for dinner and would threaten to take away my computer if I did not. Christmas and other religious holidays always seemed like an excuse for forced socolation. I've often been called selfish around the holidays because I couldn't get any plesure from visiting people and I would complain. I think my parents were the selfish ones. Anyway, I could do without a lot of holidays. People other than my parents usualy gave me the stupistest presents that got handed down to my neice. I felt as if my neice was getting gifts and I was not and even though the gift was originaly intended for me I felt left out a lot. So the gift giving aspect was usualy a disapointment. I could do with out this holiday. I don't think I will celebrate Christmas when I get my own place. Almost everything about Christmas seems so secular anyway.

I'm not weird, you're just too normal.
Evergreens during Christmas are a sign of early Christians adopting Pagan traditions for Yule (celebrated December 21st) in order to blend in and avoid persecution.
Traditionally, Pagans didn't chop down a tree and drag it into their homes. They took cuttings into their homes for many reasons.

I'm a Christian, and I hate Christmas. I also hate Easter and Thanksgiving.
Screaming kids, booze, obnoxious guests, overplayed holiday music. Whenever these holidays rolled around, I always begged for it to be celebrated just by whomever lived in the house, no invited guests/relatives. Of course, it rarely happened that a party was canceled, so I'd usually spend this time either hiding in my room, or signing up at work for the holiday shift.
The only good thing about them are the tons of leftovers and the Christmas presents. That's it. And maybe the pretty Christmas lights and some of the music. But the other stuff I can do without.
