I was recently listening to:

Cosmic Gate Back2 Back 4, an excellent dance music album. On there it has a track called:

Look around by Moonbeam feat Daniel Mimra.

A great track and some words reminded me of my condition. I'm sure it means something else but so what.

The lyrics are basicaly what I think when meeting people and people and espicaly those who want to be "friends". "Gotta get with my friends" could be interperted as special intrests becuase my special intrests basicaly are my only friends.

I think the rigity of AS or getting "stuck" is a good thing becuase it enables me to never give up or give in to other people's ignorance and this song is one of my personal theme songs.

I was at my friend's party last night and the following song came on. It was one of my favourite songs as a 13-14 year old.
I was listening to it and realized this my life in a nutshell...people look up to me for my speaking on AS and mentoring but I still go through crap because of the syndrome. It's hard to fit with others (and I was feeling very self-concious at this party even though there were people I knew there), I don't know myself, and I'm always searching for something more, but keep chasing cheap thrills.

It deals with being misundertood and misunderstanding yourself.

Given a “tentative” diagnosis as a child as I needed services at school for what was later correctly discovered to be a major anxiety disorder.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

I really wish none of you had posted "Creep". First of all, Radiohead is way overrated. Second of all, no one likes being compared to a stalker.

My personal favorite has to be Salem's Suburbs by Project 86. However I can't find a decent YT vid for it.
