My mom has hit me for responding like that in the past. If it's somebody besides a parent, it's alright. With a parent you procede with caution.

However, since your dad seems abusive, I wouldn't say these things even though he deserves it.

My old friends used to say "why am i so stupid" or call me a "dumbass" when I didn't understand something socially. It happened a lot.
