I don't think I do. I do smile when I have a thought not attached to the conversation.
I'm not really paying attention to myself enough to know for sure.

I sometimes try not to smile, because it feels inappropriate for the time, or I don't want to be too friendly--and have people trying to talk to me.

But I've gotten better about smiling now and I think I do it more.

yes, same here. i've been told once that when i actually do smile, it lights up the room.

but sometimes i do suppress smiling and laughter and am aware of grinning or giggling at thoughts totally unrelated to what's going on around me. i have such maniacal laughing fits that between the out of context smiling and the uncontrollable laughing i worry people will think i'm high. if someone is trying to get my attention and i'm laughing to myself but don't hear them it's bound to appear a bit off. the last thing i want is people thinking i'm on drugs or insane.

Smiling makes my head hurt. I do it a lot just to aknowledge that people are talking to me. I hate it but I dont know what to say. Especially when i dont find they're jokes funny or funny in a way that actually makes me laugh. I also smile/laugh when Im nervous. Like if people are arguing around me. and then I feel rude
