Have resolutions but won't tell them, because telling them will make it harder to stick to them :)

I am giving up soft drinks, again. I started drinking them again last year, and the habit got up to 4 or more drinks per day, even driving out of my way to pick one up. It was really like an addiction. So, I'm giving it up. I had three last night as a send-off. I was drinking so many that I was actually gaining weight from it...

To be kind to my self by living a healthier happier life,
To live life to the fullest that i am able to with that what my heart desires,
To try and let the inner child out more to play,
To work hard on making bigger and brighter days,
To let go of the old ways and grudges that serve me no good,
To embrace change in a positive manner,
To become more dynamic in nature.

these are mine that i posted on lj:

2005 "goals"

1. dont kill yourself jamie
2. try and become a part of society and the real world somehow. figure out how you belong or just dont belong and find contentment in solitude again
3. ignore all goals. do not compete, do not score, do not pass go.
4. buy lots of new music from 2005. be adventurous with your purchases
5. try and do something with each day. treasure each minute
6. be yourself, be honest, do not act
7. walk for miles without being afraid of your shadow or the shadows of others
8. dont be afraid to shed a tear. you arent very masculine anyway. j/k

I have a New Year's resolution, but I don't think it will work out. I hope to be more social. The method I am using, though, I'm not sure it's very effective. Has anyone ever heard of reunion.com?

Yeah. Signing on there has greatly increased the amount of unsolicited email I receive.

I find that the best resolutions are ones that you should expect to have some direct control over, and can easily be quantified. That may not be the way it works for most people, but I don't find success with vague ones that can't be tracked.

I apologize if my point was hard to understand, but I just registered to that website. I did become a member because it costs money. However, I have added three people to my list of contacts so far. One of whom is the mother of a friend of mine who I have known for four years. I have referred to her daughter in a previous post, but I deleted it because nobody responded. Case in point, I hope that helps, I hope I succeed in getting to know others. I bet you all realize that this is my way of trying to stick to my resolution.

I like the high energy on this thread, and diversity too. I spent my New Year's Eve very comfortably at home with my cat watching Kubrick's 2001 on laser disk. A friend came over for a short time and bored me talking so much, but he left quickly. I plan a trip to Greece this year to visit the museums and archaeological sites. For me, that's major pleasure! Best wishes to everybody doing all kinds of things. Super!

Our family went to another family's house for New Years. There were quite a few other people there as well. The other kids and I played a DVD game called 'Shout about Movies' (or something like that), it was fun. I'm pretty good at that game (sorry, I sound really conceited).

I don't have any resolutions. I never make any. I will probably just try to do well during my last six months of high school and try to get along with people before my parents kill me!

2. Stay away from sugar, trans-fats, casein, gluten, and microwaved food

3. Find a GF who accepts all of my A.S. trait
