Oh my goodness!! ! My counselor just sent me an email with the results of his Aspie Quiz which I referred him to. I wanted to illustrate to him the realities of how the NT brain differs from the AS brain. I had several NT friends take the quiz and give me their (very typical NT) chart results.

Here's his! 8O

His chart looks almost exactly like mine. Even slightly more Aspie in some ways!
He has been saying all along "that's me, that's me too" when I describe AS traits and it has been frustrating the heck out of me. I have been feeling brushed off and mitigated. But what if he's really an undiagnosed Aspie himself?!?? If this is true, then he definitely is the right person to be marriage counseling with for me because he has successfully overcome the serious difficulties that Aspergers marriages have. I need to process this more, but this changes everything.

Well that would sure explain some of the specific marital challenges that he has had to overcome, and.... did it the "hard way" without even knowing what the cause was!
