Sorry to hear it, Surreal. I think this is two parents lost today.

I hope they go to a better place, and that you don't suffer too much.

Thank y'all SO much! I don't know ANY of you IRL, and this outpouring means more than you'll ever know.

My condolances. I lost my father suddenly when he was only 50 and my mother after a long illness at 83. Neither is easy.

I hope you check back in and lets us know how things are going for you....

That's unfortunate. He reached a good age however, and went without pain - at least that's something positive during loss?

Well I hope things are going ok with you. It can be hard to have loved ones depart, but as my mom said when my grandmother died, she is in your heart and part of who you are and in that way she will never leave.

I say the same thing to you. I dont know what your afterlife beliefs are, but whatever you believe, I do know that your life has been impacted by him and he is a part of you, thus he is still with you. Remember all that he taught you and the good times and keep them with you.

I know people on the spectrum dont experience grief like NT's do, so this may be a confusing time for how to deal with your family who may grieve differently than you do.

Keep in touch and sending you a prayer,

Jojo

Thank you ALL!

We went to pick the casket and get started on putting the service together. It's Friday.

I will be glad when it's all over.

it's obvious that you loved your father very much and that he loved you too. be thankful that you had that and remember that love. many of us on w. p. did not have that and have suffered for that omission.

great memories are so important........so..remember.

best to you and your family.
