People don't mistake me for being angry, but at least once a day someone is guaranteed to misinterpret me as being very sad/worried when I'm actually just spacing out and feeling contented or neutral.

it actually makes me feel so angry when people say "whats wrong!"thus making me actually angry.

Blank face =/= angry, sad, or worried.

It does get annoying, especially when they insist that I'm" mad" like I would have no idea.

It's pretty frustrating that no matter how many times I try to tell people this, they never believe me.

People always think I'm down. Although I actually am, I just learn to tolerate it so I think it doesn't phase me much. When they ask if I'm alright I just say yeah... because for me I am. I'm guessing the average person would jump to their death if they felt the same. Although again I don't think I feel all that bad so I do get annoyed when people keep asking me if I'm okay. It really bugs me to the point where I do get slightly angry... because they remind me that I feel awful

I get misinterpreted for appearing angry in my speech quite a bit though. I am very soft spoken so I have people ask me to repeat what I said. I then do in a louder voice and then they get defensive like I'm pissed or something. It's annoying because I'm just raising my voice so they can hear me

hmm yes many people think I am grumpy/sad when I am not.
Then they treat me as if I "started it" (the grumpy emotional tone) when actually it is their own projection.

Before my ASD diagnosis, my partner would call me a robot because of my "normal" facial expression... which must have been, er, robotic I guess. I think my voice also gave this impression.

Interestingly, the counsellor who first suggested Autism to me did so because she could not interpret my facial expressions. I think that non-NT gaze and facial expressions are typical of ASD?

Ditto. I always get "whats wrong?" "are you mad?" or "are you ok?" But more than anything else I get, "you look bored." I usually respond with "these are the default settings on my face." Or I tell the person to be more interesting.

Yes, there are people whom always think that I'm internally angry all the time since, I don't smile alot nor tell jokes or laugh at them as well..I shant lie for, I've always been dealing with my own set of issues but, I try not to let it bother or burden others as best as I can.. I'm not sure what else to include in this post therefore, all people can only do as best as his/her abilities allow them..

YES! My father jokingly calls it "the Mylastnamehere face." People frequently think I'm angry, and like the OP said, it's very irritating to have people ask why I'm angry when I'm not! I've also been asked, "What's wrong?" when nothing really was, and accused of being "haughty and snooty." I honestly think my natural expression is part of what has hurt me in teaching positions -- other teachers always think I'm looking down on their teaching skills or methods. I've had exactly one mentor who did not react that way; she said her second son did the same thing, so she knew I wasn't thinking negative thoughts. (I was concentrating and forgot to paste a smile on my face.) As long as I take my anti-depressant, I'm neither angry or sad, but that doesn't change my natural expression!

Yes, people often ask me why I look so angry, sad, worried, sick or whatever. It's especially annoying when I'm standing somewhere waiting for someone/something and 50 % of passing people will ask me if I'm fine. I always think "Yes, I was before you started talking to me", but I never say it^^
