I have both AS and HSP. Life has been very very difficult (in ways NT people [without HSP :? ] couldn't understand), to say the least! I wonder how rare this is, to have both. I predict that the medical community will recognize HSP within the next decade.

HSP is not the same thing as Asperger's. It says on the site that HSP's get overwhelmed easily, need downtime and lots of sleep, and are really sensitive to noise and changes in the environment. That may apply to Asperger's too, except HSP's don't have problems with communication, social skills, and other stuff that Aspies struggle with. They also tend to be very intuitive and good at reading people's moods and emotions--a direct contradiction to Asperger's.

Sounds like sensory integration disorder.

You know what? I've thought of the next disorder they should add.

HSREMCATH

Highly sensitive to reverberations of Earth's magnetic core and thunderstorms.

Symptoms include agitation, hallucinations and getting wet.

I actually do get quick to meltdowns in thunderstorms and react to solar flares.
